3 Dogs, Woman Die In Mobile Home Fire In Rochester Hills
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A 70-year-old woman has died following a mobile home fire at Lake Mobile Home Park in Rochester Hills early Monday morning.
The Oakland Press reported that three dogs inside the home at the time of the fire also died.
According to the Rochester Hills Fire Department, the house fire, located in the 100 block of Bobolink Street, was reported to Oakland County 911 about 12:30 a.m.

Firefighters from five neighboring stations were dispatched. Once on scene, firefighters said the mobile home had heavy fire and smoke. Firefighters found cars in the driveway and suspected someone was in the home so they quickly entered the home to search for victims.
They said they found black smoke down to the floor, and crawling through the home, they were able to locate a female victim inside the home.

"They swiftly removed her from the home and gave her to a paramedic team for treatment and transport. She was not breathing and had no pulse," the department said in a news release.
She was transported to a local hospital, but firefighters said she did not survive.
Firefighters brought the fire under control in about 40 minutes, according to the department.
While fighting the fire, the roof collapsed in one section of the home. The home had extensive
fire and smoke damage.
The department said that no firefighters were injured during the fire.
Mutual Aid fire departments included Oakland Twp., Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Twp. and
Birmingham.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the RHFD fire marshal working and the Oakland County Sheriff’s office.
