5 Things to Know This Week

Here's what's happening in Rochester this week.

  1. Spring break in Rochester. are on spring break all week long; classes resume April 11. To find out what some of the seniors at Adams High School are doing with their week off, check out Lucie Fornasiero's most recent .
  2. Monday meeting. is meeting Monday at 7 p.m. To access a copy of the agenda, click here. The next regularly scheduled meeting is May 2 at 7 p.m.
  3. Construction, construction, construction. M-59 between Crooks Road and Opdyke Road will go from three lanes down to two this week for median shoulder repair and widening starting Monday. Resurfacing of Walton Boulevard east of Adams Road to Great Oaks Boulevard will begin April 18; construction on Crooks Road at M-59 will continue.
  4. T-storms, snow and rain, oh my! From thunderstorms on Monday to expected snow on Tuesday, then back to rain again Wednesday, the weather this week will be in true Michigan form. What's that saying : If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes?
  5. "Ding Dong" at Meadow Brook. presents Ding Dong, a hysterical new comedy that features two couples, an affair, a Russian call girl and a put-upon maid. Shows are at 2 and 8 p.m. Wednesday,  8 p.m. Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday  and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $24 to $39. Call 248-377-3300 or visit http://www.mbtheatre.com.
