The following announcement was submitted by Beth Chaplin:
"Adams High School was filled with the blasting excitement of drums, brass, woodwinds and cheers on a warm Tuesday night in October as excited spectators root for area high school marching bands. The Rochester Adams band won a division one award at the competition.
"The Rochester Adams high school band has been rehearsing for this competition since August, practicing long hours every day, learning their marching steps and the music. It’s fun and it’s challenging.

"James Ferden has been the director of the bands at Rochester Adams high school for past 10 years. In order to build a successful band, the kids have to care and love the program, surround ourselves with a great staff, have support from the school administration, and support from the parents and community.
"When talking about support from the parents, we have parents who work hard and are dedicated to the band. They assist the students in moving the instruments on and off the field at football games and at festival. We appreciate all the support the parents, administration, community and the student put forth to make possible."
