Deadline Friday for Rochester Community Scholarship Program

The deadline for students interested in applying for scholarships through the Community Scholarship Program is Friday.

The Community Scholarship Program was developed when the Rochester Community Schools Foundation partnered with the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester, Rochester Rotary Club and the Rochester Kiwanis Club and donors allowing students to complete one common application to access all scholarships from the above-mentioned organizations.

Interested students are required to complete an application, an essay and submit two Applicant Appraisal Forms along with a high school transcript.  Scholarships are based on criteria developed by the donors which may include academic promise; extracurricular activities; community service; musical, artistic and dramatic talent; tenacity; work ethic and leadership.  Some awards may consider financial need.
