Downtown Shop Collects Handmade Valentines for a Cause

Downtown Rochester gift shop is collecting handmade Valentine's Day cards to distribute to patients at the DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan.

In exchange for bringing in a handmade Valentine, customers will receive a heart necklace.

"Today everything seems so technology driven,” said McCrumb. “It’s nice to have a reason to unplug and hand-make a Valentine’s card to give to someone else.

at their Rochester and Berkley locations, mostly from school groups, church groups and sororities.

Cards will be collected through Feb. 12.
