Find Your Antiques: Appraisal Day Coming Up in Rochester

The Rochester–Avon Historical Society is hosting their 19th “Antique Appraisal Day” on March 4 from noon – 4p.m. at the .  Instead of watching the Antique Road Show on TV, gather your collectibles, your garage sale finds, and your family treasures, and join the fun in downtown Rochester.

This year 10 appraisers will be donating their time and expertise.  They will be able to appraise china, glass, pottery, clocks, collectibles, jewelry, furniture, pastels, oil paintings, prints engravings, needlepoint, lighting, dolls and doll items, coins, books, guns, weapons, military items and much more.  If your item is too large to transport, bring photos instead.  The appraisers enjoy meeting everyone and learning the stories behind the items. You may learn more about your treasures as well as their fair market value.

Get there early and join the fun.  Admission is free.  The cost for a verbal appraisal is $5 per item.  There is no charge for items appraised under $20.
