
The Stoney Creek Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution in Rochester recently presented chapter member and longtime Rochester resident Gail Kemler with the NSDAR Community Service Award which is granted by the National Society.
The chapter nominated Gail for this award for her outstanding voluntary achievements throughout the years in Rochester which include serving on the Rochester School Board for eight years and the Rochester Historical Commission; past president and active member of the Rochester- Avon Historical Society and, in 1964, co-founding the "Helping Hands Food Pantry" where she served as its director for 20 years and where she continues to work as a volunteer raising funds, seeking donations and distributing food.
