Amanda Kim, a 13-year-old eighth grade student at , just realized an incredibly impressive accomplishment. After nine consecutive years of the highest possible superior rating in an adjudicated piano performance of classical repertoire, she received the coveted 45 point-trophy.
She has accumulated three trophies over these past nine years by participating in a nationally recognized organization called The National Federation of Music combined with the newly created program developed right here in Rochester by Cliff and KayEllen Wilkins of the .
"Amanda has been a dream student for me," said teacher Corrin Barnett. "Students like her make my job rewarding and reinforce my passion for teaching. She has always been a gifted student and I knew she would be able to accomplish this rarely achieved feat."

With great pride and three trophies in hand, Amanda states, "I've loved playing piano since I was 4. It took a lot of perseverance to stick with it and win the trophy, but I love piano."
