Local Business Fights Cystic Fibrosis During Rochester Walk

Timothy Herbert Financial Group raised $3,805 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in the Great Strides Walk in Rochester last month.

This is the fourth year in a row that they have sponsored this foundation in honor of Kate, a 6-year-old girl suffering from cystic fibrosis. Her parents are longtime clients and friends of Tim Herbert.

The Great Strides 2012 event raised $70,000 to help fund local care centers and to find a cure for CF. When the Foundation was established in 1955, children with CF rarely lived long enough to attend elementary school. Due in large part to the Foundation's aggressive investments in innovative research and comprehensive care, many people with the disease can now expect to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond.
