Neighborhood House Looking for Junior Ambassadors

, a private, nonprofit agency dedicated to assisting the community during times of hardship, is currently in the process of accepting applications for their Junior Ambassador Program. Each year, Neighborhood House is represented throughout the service area by a Junior Ambassador and a Youth Committee Chairperson. The application deadline for the 2012 -2013 program year is Monday, April 23.

The selected candidates will collaborate with the Neighborhood House executive director, Board of Directors and other staff and volunteers in an effort to gain experience in the areas of civic responsibility, community service, public speaking, fundraising, marketing, and fund development. Additionally, the students will have the opportunity to participate in Rochester Area Neighborhood House and other community related events throughout the year and will be eligible for a college scholarship. The students will gain valuable experience and build leadership skills through interaction with the community in such areas as government, healthcare, leadership, education, business, faith-based, media and more.

Application packets are available at most local schools, the Neighborhood House web page at www.ranh.org, the Rochester Area Neighborhood House Facebook page, or at the Neighborhood House main office at 1234 Inglewood in Rochester.
