The Government Finance Officers Association has awarded the City of Rochester Hills with the Outstanding Achievement Award for its December 31, 2011 Citizen Financial Summary Report.
The Outstanding Achievement Award is GFOA’s recognition of a local governmental unit that has produced ahigh quality financial report specifically designed to be readily accessible and easily understandable by their citizens who may not have a background in public finance.

“This award demonstrates the City’s commitment to assisting our citizens to better understand the City’s financial position. Any time we can become more transparent and help our citizens better understand our financial condition I’m all for it. I’m very pleased that GFOA continues to recognize our commitment to that effort,” states Mayor Bryan K.Barnett.
