Over the past month, the Rochester Junior Woman’s Club has presented donations to several local organizations including; Big Family of Michigan, Blessings in a Backpack, Boy Scout Troop #60, Camp Casey, Kingsley Montgomery School, Meadowbrook Hall, Older Person’s Commission (OPC), One Voice Chorus, RAYA Rochester Area Youth Assistance, Rochester Area Neighborhood House, Rochester PRIDE and Skate to be Great (MORC).
The club also selected the recipients for their 2011-2012 fundraising year which will be Avon Players, Friends of Dinosaur Hill and Rochester Symphony Orchestra (RSO).

The club recently held the 13th annual Lobster Boil on Sept. 24th where 1,250 live New England lobsters were flown in fresh and members of RJWC cooked and wrapped the lobsters and had them hot and ready as customers picked them up at the OPC drive-thru site.
The next fundraising event for the club will be their annual Spring Luncheon and Boutique Shopping Event on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Royal Park Hotel at 600 East University Drive Rochester, MI 48307. For over 50 years the Rochester Junior Woman's Club has contributed to the growth and vitality of the community through volunteer service and donation of funds to local charities and organizations. Since its inception, the Rochester Junior Woman’s Club has donated more than 1 million hours of community service and raised more than $760,000 to support the local community
