Oakland County Vice Chairman Jeff Matis and Commissioner Mike Bosnic will honor Paul Carey of Rochester later this month to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the last Detroit Tigers game that
Carey announced with the late Ernie Harwell.
That game was on Oct. 6, 1991.
“For Tiger fans, Paul Carey is as much a part of us as the Olde English "D" or a trip to the ballpark. It is an honor to be able to say "Thank You" on behalf of Oakland County, which Mr. Carey has called home for over 45 years. His decades of broadcast excellence have touched us more than he will ever know," stated Oakland County Commissioner Mike Bosnic.
