Anne Jordan Dudenhausen loves animals so much, she wants to watch yours.

After years of helping out friends, she opened Anne's Critter Sitters, a full time fully insured/ bonded pet sitting and dog walking service. 

She recently submitted information about the business through the Patch Small Business Spotlight.

Here are her answers.

What does your business offer? 

We provide a full time fully insured/ bonded pet sitting and dog walking service. We provide activity, feeding , and companionship for all types of pets, as many times a day as you need, and at your the times you choose. We also administer medications and attend to any special needs. Pet sitting requires more than just feed and clean. Pets who are left , during vacations , often need extra love and attention to alleviate the stress of being alone. It is our job to attend to both the physical and emotional needs of your pets.

What's your most popular product or service? 

Daily dog walks have become very popular , as people are working more.
Vacation care has always been a mainstay of the business.

What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?

It is harder than you may think! We take care of more than just cats and dogs. Birds, mice, lizards, bunnies. and birds, are just a few of our treasured clients.

When was the business founded?

July, 2004

How did your business come to be? 

I have taken care of friends' pets, for most of my life. I have always enjoyed the company of animals, big and small. It became a natural fit for me. I was working a few part time jobs when a coworker suggested that I should develop my interest and start a professional pet care business.

Why did you choose the area you did?

To be truthful, I worked at an animal hospital and boarding facility, and was appalled by what they considered care. I realized that there should be a better option for my pets and others. Neighbors and friends are good choices, but to be honest, a professional has an investment in making sure the job gets done the way you would like.
And, did I mention, I LOVE ANIMALS!
