Join us for old-fashioned holiday fun! Guests can visit the All Aboard! Model Train display that will fill the Calf Barn. Farm wagons transport guests to all Museum buildings for musical entertainment, crafts, snacks, theatre groups, live music, and even chestnuts roasting over an open fire!
The Rochester Hills Museum is located at 1005 Van Hoosen Road, off Tienken Road between Rochester and Dequindre Roads.

Every year, we invite the Oakland University community (students, staff, faculty and alumni), along with their family and friends, to experience the holidays at Meadow Brook at a special rate. Because as the birthplace of Oakland University and the cultural heart of campus, we have a special connection to Golden Grizzlies, past and present.

First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, Rochester is hosting the Motor City Chorale as it presents its “Christmas Time is Here” concert on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. The church is located at 1315 N. Pine Street, Rochester.
The audience will be treated to such holiday favorites as Last Christmas, Angel’s Carol
by choir favorite Sir John Rutter, a number from the men, Little Saint Nick,
to honor deceased Beach Boy Brian Wilson, a number from the women, All Alone Beneath the Mistletoe and many more fun-loving, toe-tapping songs. 
Originally founded in 1933 as the General Motors Chorus, the Motor City Chorale is celebrating more than 90 years of continuous service to the Metro Detroit community. Open to the public, the concert is free of charge. A free-will offering will be collected. 
The Chorale is directed by Eric Miller, a post he has held since 2015, following his tenure as the Chorale’s accompanist from 2008-2015. He served as choir director of Warren’s Lincoln High School from 1981 to 2015, and currently is the Senior Choir Director of St. Paul’s Church, Grosse Pointe Farms. 
The accompanist of the Chorale is Robert Foster, who has served as organist of First English Lutheran Church in Grosse Pointe Woods since 1984 and Piano Accompanist for Grosse Pointe North High School since 2017.
“We’re always delighted when the Motor City Chorale’s talented group of experienced singers presents their musical gifts,” commented Senior Pastor Scott Cunningham. “We welcome the community to join us for this marvelous holiday treat."

The Motor City Chorale is a strategically planned and guided 501(c)(3) organization that fosters, develops and shares a passion for choral music. On Santa Saturdays at Meadow Brook Hall, visits with Santa are included with tickets for Holiday Walk, our daytime, indoor holiday experience that features the historic mansion decorated in shimmering splendor.
Guests will first experience the historic mansion, decked for the holidays, and will make their special stop to see Santa along the tour route.
Tickets must be purchased online in advance. Choose from ticket times from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

The Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club has been planning this model train exhibit for years and enjoy sharing it with the public. The Calf Barn will be filled with model train modules that have been painstakingly built to scale and show locations near and far. A scavenger hunt through the exhibit adds to the fun! This wonderfully detailed exhibit, All Aboard!, is a perfect family outing during the holiday season.

Join us for a holiday twist! The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm is open for drop-in hours on select dates this Holiday season from 12 – 4pm, with a Guided Tour of the Van Hoosen Farmhouse at 1:00pm. We’ll have the 1840 Van Hoosen Farmhouse beautifully decorated with boughs of holly, old Christmas cards, family gifts, community cookbooks, and a 10 foot Christmas tree in the library. You’ll also find our seasonal interactive “All Aboard: Model Railroad Exhibit!” on display in the Calf Barn. Come and share your afternoon with us at our National Registered Historic Site!
Included with your admission is a guided tour* of the Van Hoosen Farmhouse and Red House, access to all exhibits, and a self-guided tour of the Bull Barn, Milk House, Equipment Barn, as well as the nearby Stoney Creek Cemetery. Please arrive early if you plan to take the guided tour, as there is limited capacity.
*No guided tour of the Van Hoosen Farmhouse and Red House on December 6, due to Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus event
* No guided tour (only self-guided on this day) of the Van Hoosen Farmhouse and Red House on December 20, due to Old-Fashioned Christmas event
