Crust Closed, Luca's Open and 5 Restaurants Coming Soon to Rochester
Here's the lowdown on Rochester restaurant happenings.
Maybe you're getting tired of the same meal at the same Rochester-area restaurant. Or maybe you just like to try new venues for your breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
Regardless, we know you like to read the latest restaurant news around town. Here's what we know right now:
What's new?
- Luca's Chophouse: The upscale steakhouse recently opened in the Papa Joe's plaza at Tienken and Rochester roads. It's the second location for the restaurant, which first opened in Grand Blanc five years ago. , and stay tuned for a full review in the coming weeks. In the meantime, hours are 11 a.m. -11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday. Make a reservation at 248-266-6370.
- Dublin Fish & Chips: This Clinton Township favorite relocated in the heart of downtown Rochester on Main Street. .
What's coming?
- Subway: into . In fact, it will be in the middle of a trio of restaurants opening or renovating this fall.
- Noodles & Company: It will open its first Rochester Hills location there right next to Subway.
- Kabob Grille: It will relocate to a bigger spot at the Village, on the other side of Subway. All three restaurants will be located on the west side of the outdoor shopping center, near Starbucks.
- The Meeting House: There's work going on inside the building at 301 S. Main Street, in the site of the , which closed last spring. Called The Meeting House, the resturant will serve lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. Chefs at The Meeting House will cook with local, sustainable and humanely raised ingredients.
- Jersey Mike's: The on Rochester Road north of Auburn Road. The restaurant recently opened in Ann Arbor.
What's gone?
- Crust: The popular closed without explanation three weeks ago. Its Bloomfield location closed earlier this year.
