Drunk Driver Hits Pedestrian In Rollover Accident, Flees: Police

A 56-year-old Rochester Hills man was hospitalized after he was hit by a vehicle in the city Wednesday.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A 26-year-old man from North Branch was arrested for reportedly being under the influence when he struck a pedestrian and fled the scene, police said.

Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a rollover accident that involved a pedestrian. Police said a 56-year-old Rochester Hills man had reportedly been struck by a car at LeGrande Boulevard and Fontainebleau Court Wednesday. Police said the man driving the vehicle fled the scene of the accident and was later found intoxicated. He was arrested for operating while under the influence.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for treatment.
