Gingerbread House Revealed at Royal Park Hotel

Royal Park Hotel along with The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit will reveal Rochester's largest gingerbread house, on display in the lobby of the hotel from Nov. 17 through Jan 1.  The hotel has adopted The Salvation Army as its charity of choice for Christmas for the second consecutive year. Red Kettles will be stationed throughout the hotel; guests may sponsor one of the 1,500 "bricks" used to build the 8-foot-high gingerbread house with a $10 minimum donation to The Salvation Army.  Beginning Dec. 1, proceeds from desserts purchased at both The Brookshire restaurant and Commons Lounge will be donated to The Salvation Army. Bricks can be purchased at the Rochester Sugar Shoppe located inside the Royal Park Hotel lobby. The hotel's official holiday card will also feature The Salvation Army shield.
