Reception for local artist whose work decorates Rochester College library

Artist Margaret Glinke is known for her ink drawings and layered type of artwork known as "impasto." The Shelby Township artist will be on hand to talk about her work at a reception at Rochester College's Ham Library.

Glinke's work, which includes many pieces depicting Michigan sites and landscapes, has been on display all semester in the library.

"Ham Library has worked with area artists for four years," said Allie Keller, director of library services at Rochester College. "This collaborative effort benefits the artists by giving their art exposure. It also helps make the library more attractive and interesting for the students, as well as bringing guests on to our campus throughout the year."
