Kris Kringle Market Returns To Rochester
It's the 11th annual year for the popular event that transforms downtown Rochester into a Christmas market.

ROCHESTER, MI — Downtown Rochester’s annual Kris Kringle Market returns this holiday season on Friday, Nov. 30, 4:00-10:00 pm and Saturday, Dec. 1, Noon-10:00 pm. The market will be located on W. Fourth Street between Main and Walnut and will coincide with The Big, Bright Light Show.
The Kris Kringle Market, presented by Lincoln of Troy, is inspired by the 700 year-old tradition of the European Christmas markets. Visitors can enjoy food, shopping, live entertainment and the ambience of an open-air holiday market. Offerings include hand-crafted gifts, fresh greens, baked goods, specialty foods, glass blowing and much more. Many popular vendors will be returning, including Bavarian Roasted Almonds Co., Nitsches Meats & Deli, and The Original Strudel Factory.
“Shopping and strolling at the Kris Kringle Market has become a tradition for many local families”, said Taylor Clayton, Marketing Coordinator for the Rochester DDA. “It’s a merry atmosphere, with the streets aglow for The Big, Bright Light Show. You can see visitors getting into the holiday spirit as they shop.”
Children can enjoy a visit and photo opportunity with Santa Claus, a chance to play in child-sized gingerbread houses and warm up by the s’more station.
Enjoy food and beverage in the warming tent. Visitors can purchase a commemorative mugs filled with Gluhwein or enjoy hand-crafted beer sponsored by the Rochester Mills Beer Co and Fieldstone Winery. Proceeds from the warming tent will benefit the Rochester Area Youth Assistance (RAYA) on Friday evening and the Rochester Avon Recreation Authority (RARA) on Saturday.
