Man Accidentally Shoots Self in Leg With Handgun

Oakland County Sheriff's deputies responded Sunday to Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills to investigate a shooting incident in Rochester Hills that hospitalized a man, according to an incident report.
The man told deputies the injury occurred because of an accidental discharge of a handgun at the 1000 block of Clear Creek in Rochester Hills, the report indicated. He told deputies the gun had discharged when he was handed the gun by his brother.
The gunshot victim, a 26-year-old Sterling Heights man, told police the incident was an accident and did not stem from a physical altercation.
