More Lane Closures Expected on M-59 This Weekend

Workers will remove rumble strips from roadway.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced single-lane closures for both outside and inside lanes of eastbound and westbound M-59 for the removal of existing rumble strips. 

The closures will run from Clinton River Trail to approximately 1,900 feet in an easterly direction. The two-weekend project began this past weekend and continues this Saturday and Sunday, June 15-16.

On June 15, the inside lane of eastbound M-59 will be closed, while on June 16, the inside lane of westbound M-59 will be closed. The closure will be from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. both days.
