A loud truck in the victim's driveway tipped off neighbors that something was amiss.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A neighbor's noise complaint tragically turned into a death investigation, according to a news release.

On Nov. 12, residents of the 2300 block of Longview Ave. reported a loud truck had been running in the driveway of a home for several hours. Oakland County Sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene at 4:54 p.m. and noted a truck with a loud exhaust in the driveway and the entry door of the residence was open. When deputies reached the door, they discovered a woman lying on the floor inside the doorway.

Paramedics from the Rochester Hills Fire Department transported the 51-year-old Rochester Hills victim to Crittenton Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. While deputies secured the scene, they found the victim's roommate sleeping in a bedroom. The investigation is ongoing.
