'Beloved Teammate': Oxford Community Remembers Hana St. Juliana

OXFORD, MI — The Oxford community remembered 14-year-old Hana St. Juliana as happy and joyful with a passion for volleyball after the teen was one of four students killed in the Oxford High School shooting Tuesday.

St. Juliana, the youngest of the three victims, died at the school, officials said. Her father told Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald “she was one of the most happiest and most joyful kids.”

A member of Oxford’s freshman volleyball team, the team said she will be "truly missed," according to TODAY.

"Rest in peace Hana St. Juliana, a beloved teammate on our freshman volleyball team," the team said in a social media post.

The Oxford Woman's Basketball Team also remembered St. Juliana.

"We will never forget your kind heart, silly personality, and passion for the game," the team said. "Since 6th grade camp you have stayed dedicated to Oxford Basketball, soaking in the game."

"Happiest and most joyful kids."

A petition was started to rename the Oxford High School Library to the "Hana St. Juliana Library."
