Photo of the Day: These Girls Had a Perfect Season
The allowed only 10 points per game and excelled in the classroom, too, coaches say.

The seventh grade girls basketball team at Van Hoosen Middle School just finished a perfect 11-0 season.
"The team displayed great hustle, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout their season," said coach Fran Scislowicz. "The girls also excelled in the classroom, as many players were on the Honor Roll."
The team scored 35 points per game during the season. A hard-nosed man-to-man defense was used all season by allowing only 10 points per game.

Team members were: Emily Ciaramellano, Olivia Gongos, Riley Henry, Kiley Ward, Lily Groesser, Abby Pattera, Annaabelle White, Cora Davis, Hailey Wentzloff, Rebecca MacNeil, Susana Frisbie, Julia Mulligan, Taylor Spencer, Janie Rittner and Julia Wolas.
The team was coached by Scislowicz and Raiven Owusu.
