Residents Call The Sheriff's Office About a Suspicious Man Going Door To Door Asking For a Hot Drink
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office discovered the suspect and a young woman hiding under a tree.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Concerned residents of the 2000 block of Leach Rd. called the Oakland County Sheriff's Office at 9:16 p.m. on Nov. 12 to report a young man who was making his way door-to-door saying he was cold and wanted a hot drink, according to a news release.
Arriving deputies searched the neighborhood and put the OCSO K-9 Unit to work establishing a track. The K-9 Unit discovered a 21-year-old man from Troy matching the description of the suspicious person and an 18-year-old female, of Auburn Hills, hiding under a tree.
Both individuals were intoxicated and told deputies they are currently in a relationship, however the man has a no contact order which bars him from any contact with the young woman. Deputies also discovered the man was in possession of a loaded .40 caliber Glock handgun.

The man was detained at the Oakland County Jail for carrying a concealed weapon and a violation of court ordered bond conditions. The female was released to her parents and issued an appearance citation for Consumption of Alcohol under 21 years of age.
