Rochester Hills Fire Department To Host Community Open House

Kids will have an opportunity to climb aboard the fire trucks, learn CPR, view a jaws-of-life demonstration, try on fire gear and much more!

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — The Rochester Hills Fire Department invites the public to attend its open house Wednesday, Oct. 6 for an evening of fire safety, demonstrations and displays.

During the family-friendly event, kids will have an opportunity to climb aboard the fire trucks, learn CPR, view a jaws-of-life demonstration and try on fire gear.

They'll also have a chance to operate a fire hose, view a rope rappelling demonstration and craw through smoke at the department's fire safety house.

The entire event will take place outdoors. Visitors are able to park at Auburn Pharmaceuticals, the building directly behind the fire station.

The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fire Station 1, which is at 1111 Horizon Court in Rochester Hills.
