Rochester Hills Hotel Catches Fire

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — There was a structural fire at a local motel in Rochester Hills this week.

The Rochester Hills Fire Department responded to the Days Inn & Suites By Wyndham located at 1919 Star-Batt Dr. just before 10 a.m. Monday for a commercial fire. There were no injuries in the blaze, authorities said.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Fire Investigations Unit will assist the Rochester Hills Fire Department in the investigation. Authorities believe so far that the fire started in the first-floor laundry room.

Arson has been ruled out as a cause, Sheriff’s Office officials said.
