Residents who have already applied for an absentee ballot should expect to receive the ballot by mail in early October.
In order to receive an absentee ballot by mail or in person, a signed application must be submitted to the Clerk's Office. Residents who plan on picking up your ballot in person should bring photo identification. Applications are available at City Hall and can also be found at the following link: https://www.michigan.gov/documents/AbsentVoterBallot_105377_7.pdf
Permanent Absent Voter List
The absentee ballot application now features a checkbox that enables you to request to be added to the Permanent Absent Voter List. Requesting to be added to the Permanent Absent Voter List means that you will be added to the City's mass mailing list for absentee ballot applications prior to every election, being added to the list will not prevent you from voting in person in future elections if you should choose to do so.
