School Janitor Arrested For Sexting 16-Year-Old Student: Police

A 30-year-old is in custody after reportedly exchanging inappropriate pictures with a 16-year-old student in Oakland County.

PONTIAC, MI — A school custodian in Michigan has been arrested after reportedly exchanging sexual text messages and obscene photos with a 16-year-old student, police said.

A 30-year-old man who works at Pontiac High School is in custody, pending review of the case, Oakland County Sheriff’s Office officials said Friday. On Thursday, police say the mother contacted police after intercepting her daughter’s cell phone messages.

Both the student and custodian reportedly admitted that the inappropriate messages had been happening for one week, but no sexual contact had occured between the two, police said.

Police are investigating and the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office may issue criminal charges.
