Share Your Rochester/Rochester Hills Love: Become A Patch Mayor

Being a Patch Mayor will get you more involved with the community and help keep people informed on local happenings.

ROCHESTER/ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — There's a new way to get involved in Rochester and Rochester Hills — the Patch Mayor program. This new volunteer program allows those who love their communities a great way to share their enthusiasm and expertise on local happenings. Patch's reporters will continue to cover the neighborhood's big news, but will work with Mayors to give residents more of a voice on our sites. Interested?

As a Patch Mayor, you'll be able to:

  • Post stories on Patch and social media to spread the word about charity events, local celebrations, civic issues, weather, new restaurants or businesses, and more
  • guide local conversations as the host of your Patch
  • reach your neighbors and fellow residents through daily newsletters
  • earn the recognition of your Patch community

The ideal Patch Mayor is someone who is a civic-minded, sociable resident who's plugged into what people in the neighborhood are saying and doing, likes to write, is active on social media and wants to share the stories of his or her community.
