Update: Sheriff's Officers Investigate Suicide in Park

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office responded around noon Tuesday to a dead body found near  in Rochester Hills.

Sheriff's department Captain Michael Johnson of the Rochester Hills substation confirmed the body was a man and the death was a suicide.

The man was found inside the park, which is at the corner of Livernois and Avon roads, one of the city's busiest intersections. 

The park runs alongside the Clinton River Trail.

About six sheriff's and unmarked vehicles were still on site around 2 p.m.; the park was surrounded by yellow police tape.
