Intruder Dies After Crashing Through Window In Rochester Hills
The suspect told the 90-year-old victim during the attack that he wanted to see someone die before he killed himself, according to police.
ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A suspect is dead after breaking into the home of a 90-year-old Rochester Hills man's home and attacking him, according to police. The elderly man survived.
Responding officers arrived to the 1600 block of Huntington Park on Monday and found a trail of blood and heard a "faint voice calling for help," police said. Inside they discovered the injured 90-year-old homeowner and a dead body in the doorway. The body was that of the home intruder, who reportedly died from injuries he sustained coming through the window.
Police said the elderly man heard glass breaking and was investigating what caused the noise when he was attacked.

The suspect used furniture to attack the elderly man and said he wanted to see someone die before he killed himself, according to police. The victim pretended to be dead and the suspect stopped the attack, according to police. The suspect was unknown to the victim.
The suspect's identity has not been released but police said he was a 44-year-old Rochester Hills man.

The Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy and the victim is currently listed in serious, but stable condition.
