The Rochester Board of Education approved the 2012-13 calendar on Monday night.

Board of Education members approved the calendar on Monday night after reaching a tentative agreement with the Rochester Education Association.
The calendar puts the school start date on Sept. 4 and includes 173 instructional days for elementary students, 175 instructional days for secondary students and 184 teacher work days.

The calendar will be sent via email to parents sometime today; it will also be posted on the school district's website.
The holiday breaks for the calendar will follow that of the Oakland Intermediate School District; that calendar is attached to this story.
