Donald Maskill, who has been at West for 14 years, will serve as interim principal at Hugger. Wendy Darga, an intern assistant principal at , will serve as the interim assistant principal at West for the 2012-13 school year.
Maskill's appointment as interim leader of Hugger fills a vacancy left by Debi Fragomeni, who was named Pre-K through 7th Grade Curriculum Director for the district. Fragomeni's replacement was about to be confirmed last month when school administrators were informed that there was a problem: her replacement was related to a teacher at the school, and it violates school district policy to have a family member supervise another family member.
