651 Jazz is a group of like-minded jazz musicians from the Rosemount/Apple Valley area who play their own arrangements of jazz and other standards. 651 Jazz features Matt Sumera on drums, Jim Bolland on keyboards, Greg Twaites on bass, Warren Backer on guitar, Conrad Miska on saxophone and flute, Mark Jesh on trumpet, and Tom Conway on trombone, and singers Emily Farrell and Kris Vihovde.
You will hear familiar tunes like “Body and Soul” and “Fly Me to the Moon,” Latin tunes such as “Black Orpheus” and “Sway,” and popular songs like “Sleep Walk” and “Georgia on My Mind.” Whether it’s a torchlight vocal, swing, Latin, or blues, the 651 Jazz will play a mix of styles that will entertain and engage you for the evening.
