Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191: Face Coverings Required Beginning August 9 For Visitors And Staff

Beginning Monday, Aug. 9, face coverings will be required in all District 191 schools and buildings for visitors and staff, regardless of their vaccinations status.

The decision is based on recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) that wearing face coverings is an essential strategy to protect children who are not yet able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, as well as others who are not vaccinated.

At its Aug. 12 regular meeting, the District 191 Board of Education will review a resolution regarding Health and Safety measures for the 2021-2022 school year for students, staff and visitors.

District 191 will continue to monitor health conditions in our programs and in the community, as well as guidance from state and federal health officials. The district will also review any guidelines set forth by the Minnesota State High School League with regard to athletics and activities.
