Thanks to the generosity of the Nordson Corporation Foundation, financial assistance is available for this year’s Camp Invention program to families in the Eagan area. This nationally-acclaimed STEM enrichment program is being hosted for the sixth summer at Red Pine Elementary School during the week of June 18-21, and at Thomas Lake Elementary School during the week of June 25-28. The Nordson Corporation Foundation’s sponsorship will enable children who would not otherwise be able to attend the program to enjoy a week of science exploration combined with imaginative fun this summer.
Camp Invention® is offered by the non-profit Invent Now® Inc. in collaboration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for children entering grades one through six. Children who attend the program will learn physics, engineering, and creative problem-solving in a fun way while they take apart mechanical devices with real tools and work as a team to create new inventions. This summer, students will also travel on a time machine, use the power of magnetism to design and build a city, and exercise their bodies as well as their minds while they invent and play new games.
Applications for financial assistance are now being accepted. To request an application, contact Barb Johnson at BJCampInvention@aol.com or 952-949-2558.
