Last week, at the PaYS headquarters, Fort Knox, Kentucky, a Rasmussen College employee had the opportunity not only to learn more about the today's Army, but also jump with Army Golden Knights parachute team (www.armygoldenknights.com).  A video will be featured, just prior to the ceremony, revealing the identity of the "brave" college employee.

"The U.S. Army is excited to have Rasmussen College join us as a corporate partner in the Partnership for Youth Success program," said Lt. Col. John Hinck, commander for Army recruiting in Iowa, Minn., North Dakota and South Dakota. "We are proud of our partnerships like this that enable our recruiters to offer applicants quality employment opportunities during and after their Army service."

Hinck will sign the PaYS partnership memorandum of agreement with Kristi Waite, president of Rasmussen College during a ceremony in conjunction with an army birthday celebration at Rasmussen College, 3500 Federal Drive, Eagan, Minn.

"Rasmussen College is extremely pleased to have formally teamed up with the U.S. Army. Through the army's PaYS Program our college can bring on board qualified men and women who are looking for rewarding civilian careers after they have served their country," said Waite. "For Rasmussen College the partnership with the Army will help us recruit for a number of different positions so we can ensure our campuses have a strong workforce in place to meet the needs of our students."

PaYS is a strategic partnership program between the army and a cross section of U.S. corporations and public sector agencies. Rasmussen College joins other local corporate partners in Minnesota to include the American Red Cross, Best Buy, Burlington Northern, Canadian Pacific Railway, Casey's General Stores, Century 21, Goodyear, Lifetime Fitness, Minnesota Wire, Schwan Food Company, Sears, Southwest Airlines, and Wells Fargo.  PaYS was developed to help the Army attract, train and deploy talented young people who want to serve their country, but also want to help secure their future success once their Army service is complete.

Under terms of the agreement between the U.S. Army Recruiting Command and Rasmussen College, enlistees interested in gaining specific job training and qualifications will receive that training while in the U.S. Army. As part of the enlistment process, recruits sign a statement of understanding of intent to work for Rasmussen College upon completion of their term of service. As they near the end of their enlistments, the aoldiers will have the opportunity to interview with Rasmussen College for a specific job at a specific location.
