Well, this had to be the expectation after the news we received earlier in the week. The team has announced that Anthony Barr, Everson Griffen, Harrison Hand, and Christian Darrisaw are all out.

Even though we could see these defensive losses coming, it’s still disappointing, especially when we realize how challenging it’ll be to slow down Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, Chase Edmonds, and the rest of Arizona’s various offensive weapons.

The most immediate result is that Nick Vigil will once again be relied upon to call the defensive plays. There may also be increased opportunity for a depth linebacker like Troy Dye, especially if Kendricks ends up being at all limited.

Harrison Hand had a positive impact on special teams last week (as he often does). He’s a good tackler who demonstrates some really good timing as he pursues the ball carrier. We’ll need a different depth players to step up.

On offense, it’ll be another week of the Rashod Hill experience. Week 1 didn’t go super well, so the hope is that Lil’Kub will do more to help out his depth tackle. Chandler Jones & Friends will present a real test.

On Arizona’s side, there is some uncertainty with OL Kelvin Beachum, who is questionable. LB Devon Kennard has been ruled out.
