2012 Eden Prairie Homecoming Guide

Monday marks the beginning of Homecoming Week in Eden Prairie. The week's theme is "The Eagle Has Landed," and it will culminate in the Friday football game against Edina. 

Here's everything you need to know for Homecoming Week.

Theme Days

Edina High School students will dress in a theme each day this week:

• Monday: College Day
• Tuesday: USA Day
• Wednesday: Neon Day
• Thursday: Twin Day (dress like someone else or the Minnesota Twins)
• Friday: Eden Prairie Spirit Day

Coronation

• What: Eden Prairie royalty will be chosen. (The Royalty Luncheon will be held Thursday in the Old Commons.)
• When: 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10
• Where: Eden Prairie High School, Main Gym
• Who: The Homecoming Queen and King will be chosen from the senior attendants.
  • Senior attendants: Annie Baker, Caymah Dennis, Abby Farniok, Leah Fischer, Sara Fitzpatrick, Emma Claire Fontenot, Emma Foster, Sylvia Kaare, Megan Knoff, Brianna Lome, Michael Anton, Salam Bachour, Grant Boe, DJ Dufrene, Nick Fee, Ryan Janning, Andrew Knudsen, Michael Kretzschmar, Raffy Maristela and Tony Yost
  • Junior attendants: Alyssa Morrison, MacKenzie Toay, Matt Fuller and Jason Scholtz
  • Sophomore attendants: Heather Sarahan, Kathryn Vollmer, Joseph Kaveney and Conor Long
  • Freshmen attendants: Jane Claeys, Anna Gallenberger, Austen Cashman and Carter Pattison

• Cost: Tickets for this event are $1 and are made available to seniors first. (Each royalty candidate will have four tickets for family members.)

Pep Fest

• What: Pep Fest for the big game
• When: 9:09 to 9:49 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12
• Where: Eden Prairie High School, Main Gym
• Cost: Free

Informal Dance

• What: A dance for ninth- to 12th-grade Eden Prairie High School students only. No outside guests will be allowed. All students must have a school ID.
• When: 8 to 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12
• Where: Eden Prairie High School, Activity Center
• Cost: Tickets for informal and semiformal dances on sale during lunch Thursday and Friday in the Old Commons. Cost is $5 for each dance. Tickets also are available at the door.

The Big Game

• What: Eden Prairie High School vs. Edina High School
• When: 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12
• Where: Aerie Stadium, or you can watch it live here on Eden Prairie Patch.
• Homecoming royalty and court will be announced at halftime.

Semi-formal Homecoming Dance

• What: A semi-formal dance for students and outside guests. Students must have picked up a guest form in Student Activities and submitted it for approval by Oct. 5. Guests need to bring a valid photo ID.
• When: 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday
• Where: Eden Prairie High School, Activity Center
• Cost: Tickets for informal and semiformal dances on sale during lunch Thursday and Friday in the Old Commons. Cost is $5 for each dance. Tickets also are available at the door.
