Eden Prairie 3D Printing Company Stratasys Plans Merger
The union with Objet Ltd. in Israel is expected to close before Dec. 6.
Eden Prairie 3D printing manufacturer Stratasys Inc. said late last week that federal officials have approved its merger with the subsidiary of an Israeli company, according to the Star Tribune.
This move will make Stratasys a bigger player in the market for machines that create three-dimensional product prototypes. Stratasys is the second-oldest company in 3D printing and is a business-to-business company that had its start in Eden Prairie in 1989.
The merger of Stratasys with Objet Ltd. in Rehovot, Israel is expected to close before Dec. 6.
