Minnesota Monthly Offers Creative Edina Neighborhood Names
Minnesota Monthly recently put together a tongue-in-cheek graphic offering some "friendly" suggestions for the City of Edina's ongoing neighborhood naming project. Please note, the names are pretty heavy on the satire.
Considering the names include such gems as "Botoxia" and "Trophy Wife Terrace," it's probably for the best they went ahead and offered an apology beforehand.
'Tragic Accident' Caused Aug. 21 Plymouth Motorcycle Death
A completed investigation into the off-duty Fridley Officer's motorcycle crash in August showed that it was a "tragic accident."
Warrant Issued for Golden Valley Man Charged in Perfume Heist
A nationwide arrest warrant has been issued for a Golden Valley man accused of stealing more than $1,000 worth of perfume from an Apple Valley drugstore last spring. Darnell Love Jackson, 51, is charged with felony theft, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Former NHL Player To Coach Minneapolis Hockey
After years in purgatory, with only enough interest and support to field one team for the city's six high schools, the Minneapolis schools have hired former Pittsburgh Penguins player Joe Dziedzic to "resurrect hockey in Minneapolis.”
