Former Councilman Hopes To Unseat One of Two Current Members
Jon Duckstad runs for election, as Brad Aho and Ron Case try to keep their seats
Jon Duckstad last sat on the Eden Prairie City Council in 2010. This year he's determined to retake a seat.
Duckstad is running against incumbents Brad Aho and Ron Case for two positions. City Council members serve four years; all positions are at-large and nonpartisan.
Aho, 53, has been on the City Council since 2004. He describes himself as an "electrical engineer and small business owner with eight years of proven track record on the City Council."

Case, 57, has been a City Councilman since 1995. He currently is a teacher and coach with Eden Prairie Schools. He also is "chair of the Southwest Cable Commission, former chair of the Suburban Rate Authority" and "former treasurer of the Southwest Transit Commission," according to his candidate profile.
Challenger Duckstad left the City Council in 2010 to run for mayor. He lost to current Mayor Nancy Tyra-Lukens.

He is an attorney and adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law, according to his campaign website. He has not yet filled out a candidate profile.
