UPDATED: City Releases More Info About Plane Incident Tuesday
Flying Cloud Drive reopened around 9:30 a.m., after being closed for about three hours. The FAA and NTSB will be investigating, according to the city of Eden Prairie.

The airplane that ended up on Flying Cloud Drive Tuesday night was unable to stop while landing, according to Katie Beal, senior communications coordinator with the city of Eden Prairie.
It continued off the runway, through a fence and onto the road around 6:40 p.m. Police and fire officials were able to reopen the road at about 9:30 p.m.

FOX 9 reported Tuesday night the plane "took off from Des Moines International at 4:23 p.m. on Tuesday Afternoon and was supposed to land at the Airlake Airport in Lakeville at 5:49 p.m." The TV station was unable to confirm the plane stopped in Lakeville.

An airplane ended up on Flying Cloud Drive Tuesday night, Oct. 2, after it went beyond the runway while landing.
A statement from the city of Eden Prairie said, "The Eden Prairie Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene and the pilot was not injured. There were no passengers."
The plane was attempting to land at approximately 6:40 p.m. at Flying Cloud Field, according to the statement.
"Due to (the plane's) position on the roadway, both the northbound and southbound lanes are closed to traffic until further notice. Drivers are advised to use Pioneer Trail as an alternate route."
FOX9 reported the plane is a fixed wing, single-engine Cirrus SR20 aircraft that left the Des Moines airport at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
FOX's report also said the road will be closed until 10 p.m.
The city's statement said the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the incident.
