Supervalu and Target on opposing sides of credit-card processing fee debate

CNN Money reported that Eden Prairie-based Supervalu supports a $7.25 billion settlement proposed by Visa, Mastercard and other financial institutions over credit card processing fees.

Target and other retailers, however, do not support the plan because the retailer says it doesn't change how credit card fees are processed, according to the CNN Money article. The retailers also want to be able to file a lawsuit in the future, which they wouldn't be able to do if the agreement goes through.

Supervalu puts former location up for sale

Supervalu has hired CBRE Group to sell the company's former location at 11840 Valley View Road, according to the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal.

The listing price is $28.5 million, according to the Business Journal. Once it is sold, the company's headquarters only will be located in one building, at 7075 Flying Cloud Drive.
