City Council Will Discuss Second McDonald's Drive-Through
Planning commission recommended approval of the expansion as part of an interior and exterior remodeling project.

McDonald's on Medicine Lake Road wants to add a second drive-through as part of a larger remodeling project.
On Tuesday, the City Council will decide whether or not to approve the request. Late last month, the Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals recommended the plan go forward, with conditions.
The drive aisles need to be increased to 20 feet for better fire access, which will decrease the number of parking places to 78.Â

In July, City Planner Joe Hogeboom said he expects the owners will be in the city offices Wednesday to get building permits, if the council approves the expansion Tuesday. He said they will begin construction right away.
