Any eligible voter may vote by absentee ballot for any reason, and absentee ballots can be cast by mail or in person.Β Check theΒ City website forΒ the requirements and process for voting absentee.

Vote By Mail
To vote by mail, go to www.hennepin.us/residents/elections/absentee-voting, print and complete an absentee ballot application, and return it to Hennepin County Elections either by mail, email, or fax. The County will mail the ballot to you once the application is completed.

Once youβve received and completed your ballot, return it using the prepaid envelope that came with your ballot or in person at Golden Valley City Hall.

Absentee Voting
Golden Valley City Hall is open 8 amβ4:30 pm, MonβFri through election day.
Direct balloting, where voters place completed ballots directly into the voting machine, begins Oct 26, 2021. Extended absentee voting hours are available the Saturday and Monday before the election (Oct 30, 10 amβ3 pm, and Nov 1 until 5 pm).
Election Day Voting
All polling places in Golden Valley will be open 7 amβ8 pm on election day, Nov 2. The same health and safety guidelines used during in-person absentee voting will also apply to election day voting. Read more.
