The City of Golden Valley is preparing to debut its new website, but before that happens, residents are needed to perform user tests and participate in focus groups. Community members of all ages are needed for these sessions.

User Testing
This will consist of a one-on-one meeting with a trainer from CivicPlus, the City’s web developer, for roughly 30–45 minutes at Golden Valley City Hall.
The user will be asked to complete a series of tasks using the new website using a testing software. The trainer will record metrics such as:

- task completion rate (success vs fail rate)
- time taken to complete task
- most common first click
- number of page views to complete tasks

Focus Group
This will be a small group meeting with a trainer from CivicPlus, the City’s web developer, and other Golden Valley community members. This session is expected to take 45 minutes to one hour and will take place at Golden Valley City Hall.
Focus group members will be asked a variety of questions about their experience with the City of Golden Valley and its website.

Compensation
Each community member participating in either User Testing or a Focus Group will receive a $25 gift card to Brookview, good for use for golf, lawn bowling, outdoor pub curling, or Three One Six Bar + Grill. Community members can only participate in one session, not both.

- preference between User Testing and Focus Group
- preferred time slot based on the proposed schedules above
The City is looking for residents with a variety of ages and length of time in Golden Valley so community members with different backgrounds and experiences can be considered. Timeslots will also be awarded on a first come, first served basis.
