Fall Events in Golden Valley

The Golden Valley Parks and Recreation's Fall Guide helps residents get ready for the changing seasons.

This fall, residents can find a variety of activities to enjoy in the Parks and Recreation Department's fall guide.

Here are a few highlights:

September
Golden Valley Lilac Planting Project: Sept. 22, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Join members of the community and help plant lilacs along Hwy. 55. Planting occurs in the morning and is capped by a celebration luncheon. Invite friends, neighbors, groups and organizations to join the planting.

October
Valley Volunteer Date: Oct. 6. Individuals, families and groups can get involved in a one-day or afternoon project for the benefit of the community, a school or a group. You can join the committee to make it happen by finding sponsors to help with the event. To become involved, email: valleyvolenteerday@gmail.com or visit: www. gvcfoundation.org.

November
Daddy/Daughter Princess Ball: Nov. 9. at the Brookview Community Center. 6:15-7:45 p.m. The enchanted evening includes Once Upon a Star’s Cinderella, and her friends Sleeping Beauty and Pocahontas. Princesses ages 3-9 and fathers, will enjoy dancing, a snack, a photo, and craft project. Adults can bring a camera to capture this memorable evening. Register by November 1.
